A LITTLE ABOUT ME
HIYA, I’M KAIT!
I'm a therapist and full-spectrum doula in Portland, Oregon,.
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported through life's biggest transitions.
Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating pregnancy loss, adjusting to parenthood, or figuring out what comes next, I'm here to help you ask questions, explore your options, and make choices that feel right for you.
My background spans social work, reproductive health, community advocacy, and birthwork, from supporting young people and families here in the U.S. to working alongside community health workers in rural Madagascar.
I'm also an eldest daughter, a retired athlete, and someone who knows a little about navigating family complexities and unexpected life changes. These experiences shape how I show up, but your story gets to be your own.
DOULA CARE
Practical support, honest conversations, and someone in your corner.
Reproductive experiences can be a lot to navigate, and you deserve support that respects your choices without telling you what those choices should be.
As a full-spectrum doula, I offer non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support tailored entirely to you. This includes preparing for birth, 24/7 on-call support starting two weeks before your due date, planning postpartum care, processing pregnancy loss, and navigating any other reproductive experience.
My goal is to help you feel informed, supported, and connected to the resources and community that make sense for you.
-
Personalized preparation, continuous labor support, and help navigating your options and preferences.
-
Practical help at home, newborn care, space to process your experience, and support as you find your footing in a new season.
-
Compassionate, nonjudgmental support through loss and other complex reproductive experiences.
Payment: I am credentialed in Oregon and Washington. I accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP) and Washington Apple Health for eligible doula services, as well as private pay, select private insurance, and flexible payment options depending on your plan.
THERAPY
A space to work through the stuff you're carrying.
Therapy can be a place to untangle old patterns, reconnect with yourself, and make sense of what's changing. I work with people navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, identity, and the many transitions that shape our lives.
My work has a particular interest in perinatal mental health, sexual and reproductive health and identity, young adulthood, and life beyond athletics. You don't have to be pregnant or postpartum to work with me.
Therapy is collaborative, relational, and grounded in your lived experience. We'll make room for the hard stuff while figuring out what feeling more like yourself might look like.
-
Life transitions, Perinatal, Sports Performance, Adoption, Grief, Trauma & PTSD

Relational, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Feminist, Somatic, Trauma Focused, EMDR (certification in progress)

Testimonials
A few helpful things to know
Therapy and doula care are separate services with different roles, boundaries, and goals. I maintain separate intake processes, consent forms, and professional relationships for each.
Because of the unique nature of the doula relationship, I do not provide therapy to current or former doula clients. If you're interested in both types of support, I'm happy to help you explore your options and connect with appropriate resources.
Therapy services are provided by Kaitlyn LaBonte, CSWA, under the clinical supervision of Christina Tingley, LCSW, through Mind Body Align Counseling.
